Captions that never hide behind the buttons.
NewSafe areas for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Turn on a guide and see exactly where each app puts its like, comment and share buttons, username and description, drawn right on your video. Positions were measured from the real apps and sized for compact phones, so they hold on every screen.
“3 covered” warning and one-tap fix. YapCap counts how many captions would sit under the buttons. “Move into safe area” nudges them sideways or wraps them a little, so they stay clear without jumping up over your face.
Subtitles as SRT or VTT. Save a subtitle file to Downloads/YapCap for YouTube, Premiere, CapCut or anywhere else, with or without exporting the video.
Copy the text. One tap copies everything that was said, ready to paste as your post description.
Undo and redo. Every style change, drag, text edit and deleted caption can be undone. A slider drag counts as one step.
Get your free key in a few taps. A step-by-step guide opens Groq inside the app, picks up the key you copy automatically and checks it on the spot. No more switching apps and pasting by hand.
Automatic updates. New versions download in the background while you keep editing; restart when it suits you.
ImprovedMuch bigger preview. The editor tools now fold down to a single row, so the video gets the screen. Drag the handle to set the panel height you like.
Full screen goes edge to edge, with the exit button next to the safe-area chip.
Quick “Top” and “Bottom” positions respect the safe area you picked.
First release.
LaunchWord-by-word captions for any video, with the spoken word highlighted as it is said.

24 fonts plus colours, outline, shadow, boxes, words per caption and drag-to-position.
Two people talking: the second voice is found on the device and marked with a dash, its own colour or reply-style sides.
70 languages including Nepali and Hindi, with optional translate-to-English.
Hardware-encoded export in original size, 1080p or 720p, saved straight to your gallery.
No account, no subscription, no ads and no analytics. Your video never leaves your phone.
